Predictably, these sorts of businesses are a high-value target to phishers, with possibly catastrophic consequences to their clients.<\/p>\n<p>At the beginning of the trial, the exchange was experiencing phishing sites at the rate of approximately 10 to 12 separate &#8220;lookalike&#8221; sites per month.<\/p>\n<p>After 8 months of Domainsure service, instances of lookalike phishing sites fell to zero.<\/p>\n<p>All indications are that the cyber-criminals targeting the exchange decided to move on to another target that wasn&#8217;t employing an aggressive phishing detection and takedown regimen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In our pre-launch phase we provided phishing detection services to a Canadian crypto-currency and Bitcoin exchange.
